Directions

In the I-20 corridor, Hardwood Mountain Preserve is at the intersection of Hwy 78 and Co. Rd. 61.  Heflin Al. is 6 miles west, Oxford Al., 17 miles. Tallapoosa, GA is 14 miles to the east, One can find ones self in downtown Atlanta in about an hour and a quarter, downtown Birmingham in about an hour and a half.

From Tallapoosa, GA. Take Hwy 78 west-8 1/2 miles past the GA-AL state line make a right on to Co. Rd. 61- after about 100 yards turn left on to Old Ga. Rd. (gravel) Hardwood Mountain Preserve entrance is ¼ mile on the right.

From Heflin, AL take Hwy 78 east- go 6 miles,  just out of the Edwardsville town limits make a left on to Co. Rd. 61- after about 150 feet turn left on to Old Ga. Rd. (gravel) Hardwood Mountain Preserve entrance is ¼ mile on the right.
